Vic Prooth's memorial service

This the programme for Vic's Memorial Service in London on 14/9/2011. (Click on images).

There were about twenty people at the service – Charles (Vic’s son), his two grandsons Sebastian and Tristan, students from Singapore (Rona Magnay, Suparna Supramaniam & her husband Jaz, Su Lian Ho, and myself), a student from Barnsley Grammar School where Vic taught before going to Singapore, a former colleague, a former neighbour from France, Vic’s former wife Renee’s brother and his daughter and granddaughter. Shelley and Michael came from Chicago.

It was a simple, non religious service held in a very inclusive and modern-looking “Unitarian” church lasting about an hour. Charles, Tristan and Sebastian made speeches, which included reading reminisces and tributes from other former students who could not come. Rona, Su Lian and I also spoke. We had tea and cake afterwards.
